— We are very thankful for the rain we have received this week. Even with the high winds and hail, I have not seen any damage in our neighborhood, just some small limbs and twigs blown down.

I made my yearly trip to Fishers Blueberry Farm on Friday. There was a crowd of pickers there. I overheard one little boy say, “They aren’t hard to pick, but the bucket sure is hard to fill up.” How true!

Sympathy is extended to the family of Palmer Cutcher for their loss.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Dale Henry, Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Coffee who all celebrated wedding anniversaries this week.

Bro. Jerry Carlisle from theChildren’s Home in Paragould, was guest speaker at the Hiwasse Church of Christ on Sunday. It was a pleasure to have him and his wife with us.

Those helping Diane Carrier celebrate her birthday on Sunday were her husband Brian, Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mike and Gabe Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks, DaleLynn Carrier, Emily Blevins and myself.

Marlo Hamilton has returned home after spending a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton.

Novella Carlton and Gloria Hill have been watching Novella’s grandson, Jake Carver, play baseball in the Gravette tournament this week. Jake’s team, the Jalopy Joes, finished in second place.
