DECATUR — Legends Equestrian Center, located along Arkansas Highway 102 east of Decatur,, hosted a horse show last weekend.
The valley was filled with trailers on Saturday and Sunday, andneatly-attired riders jumped their horses over bright-colored fences in the arena.
The show is sanctioned by the Northwest Arkansas Hunter Jumper Association and held annually at Legends Equestrian Center.
Hunter Jumper is a classic English style of riding, based on fox hunting traditions.
The Legends Equestrian Center show offers riders of all ages a chance to compete over jumps up to three feet tall, as well as on the flat, meaning not over jumps.
Legends Equestrian Center, owned by Heather Swope, also offers lessons and boarding. More information is available on the farm's website, www.legendseq.com.
