GRIZ BEAR COMMENTS: Oh, that people would gain wisdom!

— Have you ever considered the difference between knowledge and wisdom? There is a difference, but the two truly belong together.

Unfortunately, there are those with much knowledge but who lack in wisdom. They are able to retain information and can pass any test with flying colors, but somehow they just don't seem to be able to put that knowledge to good use.

I'm afraid the world is full of people like that. They are intelligent and have amazing abilities and skills; but when it comes to livingtheir lives and putting all that knowledge to good use, something is missing.

While one may have knowledge without wisdom, it doesn't work the other way because the wise will seek knowledge. A wise person will not be satisfied until he finds out the truth and has the information needed to make the right and wise decision.

OK, what's my point? As I watch people live out their lives in this world, I can't help but to also notice that many have no clue what it's all about. They are, by nomeans, stupid. Sometimes, their knowledge amazes me. But they seem to lack in wisdom when it comes to applying their knowledge and skills. They pursue happiness and fulfillment in many ways but don't see the foolishness and vanity of their choices.

Oh, that they would also seek out wisdom and a knowledge of what is true and important! Oh, that they could see beyond the end of their noses and figure out what life is really all about!

"Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding" (Prov. 3:13).
