— Jack J. Austin

Rev. Jack J. Austin, 91, of Gravette, Ark., passed away on June 16, 2012, in Bentonville, Ark.

He was born on Jan. 4, 1921, to Les and Stella Austin in Decatur, Ark. Jack married his first wife, the late Marjorie Bolch Austin, on August 16, 1941, in Gravette. After her death, Jack married Oletta Austin on January 26, 1997, in Garfield, Ark.

The reverend spent 45-plus years in ministry serving churches inthe Northwest Arkansas area. He was able to pastor until his death, ending his ministry at Bethel HeightsAssembly of God Church in Gentry, Ark. He was a life-long resident of Benton County who enjoyed baseball and watching all sports on television, painting, gardening, music and fishing. He loved his family and grandkids very much and was passionate for the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Les and Stella Austin; his first wife, Marjorie Bolch Austin; one brother, Glen Austin; and two sisters, Odessa Wilmoth and Evelyn Shields.

Survivors include his wife Oletta Austin of the home; two daughters, Shirley Mollett of Gravette, and Mary Austin Kincy and husband Ed of Bentonville; two sons, Jack Austin, Jr., and wifeMarjorie of Neosho, Mo., and Robert Gene Austin and wife Betty of Bentonville; one sister, Ruby Henry and husband Ray of Grove, Okla.; two brothers, Lester Austin and wife Pat of Decatur, and Paul Austin and wife Sandra of Belton, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Rebecca Tobin and husband David of Owasso, Okla.; three stepsons, Danny McGaughy of Anderson, Mo., Ricky McGaughy of Sherman, Texas, and Russell Mc-Gaughy and wife Phyllis of Pea Ridge, Ark.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2012, at the First Assembly of God in Gravette, with the Rev. Jack Austin, Jr., Rev. Sean Beach and Rev. Jack Deaton officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, June 18, 2012, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the church, before the service. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery in Decatur, Ark. Services are under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark.

PAID OBITUARY Achel Enos Hardcastle, Jr.

Achel Enos Hardcastle, Jr., 91, of Springdale, died June 12, 2012, at The Maples in Springdale.

He was born Sept. 20, 1920, in Gentry, to Achel and Mollie Hardcastle. He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WorldWar II. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in agriculture and business. He was a county agent in Missouri and Illinois and an advocate of the Future Farmers of America. He was a member of Cross Church in Springdale and a lifetime member of the Arkansas Jaycees. He was a devoted fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and loved sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Franklin Hardcastle; and one son, Alan Franklin Hardcastle.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nadean Ownbey Hardcastle; three daughters, Cheryl Rosborough and husband Fred of Gentry, Janice Zulpo and husband Joe, Debbie Zulpo and husband Adolph, both of Springdale; 13 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; four sisters, Eileen Calhoun of Tyler, Texas, Laurine Barnett of Siloam Springs, Mary Chivers of Little Rock, Laveta Francis and Evelyn Davis of Bartlett, Tenn.

Funeral services were June 16 at Cross Church Chapel in Springdale with the Cliff Palmer and Charlie Foster officiating. Burial followed at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale. Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home in Springdale.

M.L. ‘Dutch’ Noah

M.L. “Dutch” Noah, 86, of Siloam Springs, died June 16, 2012, at The Maples in Springdale.

He was born March 27, 1926, in Heber Springs,to Charles B. and Lunar Bernice Norton Noah. He was a milk hauler for more than 41 years, working for Pet Milk and Mid-Am in Northwest Arkansas. He raised polled Herefords and chickens and lived most of his life in Siloam Springs. He married Lula Mae Rutherford March 27, 1946. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European theater where he earned three bronze stars at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of Siloam Springs First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, six brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include one son, Randy Noah and wife Judy of North Little Rock; three daughters, Connie Neu and husband Richard of Siloam Springs, Lesa Eaves and husband Terry of Gentry, and Latricia Marveggio of Rogers; five grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.

Graveside services were June 19 at the Coffelt Cemetery near Vaughn. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Lawrence Sall

Lawrence Michael Sall, 90, of Gravette, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Highland Health Care in Bella Vista.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by three sons, three daughters, one brother, 13 grandchildren, and 10 greatgrandchildren.

Arrangements were by Epting Funeral Home.
