Residents asked to complete recycling questionnaires

— Gravette residents who received water bills for the past month also received a recycling questionnaire which officials are hoping will generate a good response.

Allyson Ransom, city director of communications, said the Benton County Solid Waste District is hoping to develop a mini-recycling center in Gravette, an expansion of the recycling trailers that have been in place near the police station the past several months.

The survey is a one-page question document which allows people to give input as to their family’s recycling habits and suggest ways to make the service better.

Ransom said forms should be returned to city hall before July 25. On that date, a drawing will be held from all returned forms and 10 people will receive $10 gift certificates to a local restaurant.

Ransom said the proposed min-recycling site is expected to move to a location near the old water treatment plant just off Fort Smith Street SW, three blocks west of the present trailer site.
