NORTHWEST ARKANSAS — April Abiera, of Gravette, was awarded honorable mention at the annual Science Fair and Senior Research Symposium at the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts in Hot Springs.

Abiera received the Junior Academy of Science honorable mention for engineering/electrical and mechanical exhibit. She is the daughter of Michael and Lisa Abiera of Gravette and was the only ASMSA student from Benton County honored.
