Meeting set for poultry growers

— Elkin Parker of the Eastern Region USDA will be in Siloam Springs on Tuesday, March 20. Parker will talk to poultry growers about the recent Grain Inspection Packers Stockyard Act rules and regulations that were passed. The new laws were heavily debated last year.

Parker will field questions from growers.

The informational meeting will be held at the Siloam Springs Community Center (formerly American Legion building), 101 N. Mt. Olive, in downtown Siloam Springs.

The program is hosted by Poultry Partners, Inc., and is being held in conjunction with the organization's seventh annual meeting.

All poultry producers are invited to attend this very informative program.

The meal will be served at 6 p.m. and the program will begin at about 7 p.m. For a head count for dinner, please RSVP to Bev Saunders at 918-326-0325.

This is a free program and is co-sponsored by Winrock International and the USDA.
