Quest students hear about state's agriculture

Farm Bureau representatives tell of products made from Arkansas' farm commodities

— Students from Gentry’s gifted and talented program heard a presentation on Arkansas food sources and the agricultural products of the state, at noon Thursday.

Amanda Williams, of the Member Programs Department of Arkansas Farm Bureau, was the presenter. Dan Douglas, of Benton County Farm Bureau, was also in attendance and explained the important role agriculture plays in Benton County.

Using a PowerPoint presentation, Williams reviewed the agricultural products of the state and listed many of the items made from the farm commodities.

The Gentry School District’s Quest Program provides opportunities for students identified as gifted and talented to widen their academic studies through such presentations.
