MAYSVILLE NEWS

— We are still getting warm weather. The forecast is rain and we can use that. It will make the grass grow. Mowers will be busy.

Maysville E.H. Club members, remember this Thursday is regular club day at the community building. Melinda Crawley is hostess for the luncheon at 12 noon. Business meeting follows at 1 p.m. Please remember to bring canned food for the food pantry.

Orpha Wardlaw enjoyed the visit this week of her sister and husband, Jo and Paul Pettigrew of Oklahoma City. They went to Branson for a couple of days, which they enjoyed. There were still plenty of ruins from the tornado they had up there a couple of weeks ago.

Sylvia Tucker visited Johnnie Mae Marshall one afternoon this week. They had an enjoyable afternoon.

The Maysville club is still taking bids for the mowing of the grounds at the community building. Call Sylvia Tucker at 291-4542. We also have a fundraiser planned for April 14 to help on our summer expenses, so mark your calendar for that.

I went to Harrison on Saturday with Steve and Susan Tucker. We went to visit Seth and Melody Tucker and my great-grandson Judah, who was a month old on Friday. This was my first time to see him. We also celebrated Steve’s birthday which was on Saturday, St. Patrick’s Day. I enjoyed the day very much.
