MAYSVILLE NEWS

— We really did get a good rain last week and it was sure needed. Pastures are so pretty and green and lots of lawn mowing is going on.

There were several who met at Callahan’s in Siloam Springs Sunday to eat lunch, Ron and Debbie Sims, Haley Cockrun, Patti King and friend Petru, Kevin and Stacy Warren, Jack and Sylvia Tucker. They were celebrating Sylvia’s birthday. She wasn’t expecting all of them but she said it made her day.Happy birthday, Sylvia. Hope you have many more.

Sylvia Tucker visited Johnnie Mae Marshall one afternoon last week. They always enjoy the visit.

Pat Sperry, a longtime Maysville resident, passed away last week. Her funeral was this Monday morning at Maysville Bible Church. She is survived by her husband Archie and son Sean, his wife and two children, other relatives and many friends. Sympathy is extended to the family.

Maysville E. H. Club members who attended the Curtain Call at the county extension office on Friday morning were Orpha Wardlaw, Bert Ballmann, Nikki Crawley, Mary Stewart, Melinda Crawley and two children Tabitha and William. They report a good program.

The Maysville club is still taking bids for mowing of the grounds at the community building. Call Sylvia Tucker at 291-4542. We have a fundraiser planned for April 14 to help on our summer expenses so mark your calendar for that.
