— Charles Jennings

Charles Emmett Jennings, 93, of Bella Vista, formerly of Gentry, died March 23, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers.

He was born May 17, 1918, in Calumet, Okla., to Charley Walter Jennings and Mary Day Jennings. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked in maintenance for Phillips Petroleum Company and Allen Canning Company, prior to his retirement. On March 20, 1938, he married Eula Gregory in El Reno, Okla. He was a member of Village Baptist Church, in Bella Vista.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Colley and Inez Griffin.

Survivors include his wife of 74 years, Eula of the home; two daughters, Barbara Fite of Borger, Tex., and Janice Olomon of Lewisville, Tex.; one son, Charles E. Jennings, II, of Bella Vista; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great- greatgrandchildren; one sister, Lizzie of Salem, Ore.

Funeral services were March 27 at Village Baptist Church, Bella Vista, with Bill Bowen officiating. Burial followed at Bella Vista Cemetery. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Patricia Sperry

Patricia Ann “Pat” Sperry, 66, of Gravette, died March 21, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.

She was born May 9, 1945, in Chickasha, Okla., to Roy Rains and Olive Cox Rains. She moved to Maysville 44 years ago from Cortez, Colo. She was employed at the money center at the Walmart store in Siloam Springs. She attended the Maysville Bible Church. On July 23, 1966, she married Archie Sperry in Cortez, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Lea Sperry, in 1994.

Survivors include her husband, Archie of the home; one son, Shawn Sperry and wife Mindy of Maysville; three grandchildren; one brother, Roy Rains and wife Lynne of Lewiston, Idaho.

Funeral services were March 26 at Maysville Bible Church in Maysville, with Jim Whisenant officiating. Burial followed at Maysville Cemetery. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Denver Wilson

Denver Lee Wilson, Sr., 71, of Gentry, died March 25, 2012, at his home.

He was born March 11, 1941, in Siloam Springs, to Earl and Ida Wilson. He married Dixie Wilson on May 16, 1969 in Miami, Okla. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Billy Wilson; two brothers, Russell and Kenneth Wilson; and one granddaughter, Susan Slagle.

Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Denver Wilson, Jr., of Monett, Mo.; three daughters, Jackie Whitehead and husband Denver of Gentry; Lori Johnston and husband Kevin of Gentry; Carol Slagle and husband Jerry of Monett; two brothers, Johnny Wilson and Marvin Wilson, both of Springdale; two sisters, Linda Sanders-Smith of Siloam Springs and Thelma Greenberg of Prairie Village, Kan. and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 28. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 29, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow the service at Gentry City Cemetery.
