Gravette FBLA students won honors in state competition

— Eighteen Gravette High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students traveled to Little Rock with their adviser Harry Almond and their student teacher Thomas Carreira to compete for state honors.

Seven of these studentsplaced in the top 10 in the state in their respective events. Logan Hirsch placed first in accounting II; the business ethics team of Taylor Fournier and Joshua Lockhart placed third; Haley House in job interview, Jacquelynn Janes in client service, Noah Smith in public speaking I, Seth Rutherford in business calculations, Sam Reister inintroduction to technology concepts; and Carson Alsup in business math all placed in the top 10.

Logan Hirsch, Taylor Fournier and Joshua Lockhart are nationals bound in June to San Antonio, Texas. Competitions there will be very stringent; however, these guys will be well prepared, said Almond, their adviser.
