MAYSVILLE NEWS

— We were glad the forecast was right and we enjoyed the rain that came early Monday morning. We do need the rain. I guess there're lots of farmers who have their hay down and some have already baled.

Orpha Wardlaw visited Johnnie Mae Marshall last Sunday afternoon. They had a good visit. Johnnie is doing good after spending some time in the hospital.

My company on Thursday evening included Steve and Susan Tucker of Bella Vista, Melody Tucker and my great-grandson Judah of Harrison. Seth is in Israel so he didn’t make it. Other visitors were Sylvia Tucker, Gary and Helen Chism and grandson Billy Cook, Tracy Warren, Skyler Warren andfriend Katie Reynolds. The occasion was to see Judah Tucker. It was a very enjoyable evening. Melody and Judah will be returning home Tuesday.

Sylvia Tucker visited Johnnie Mae Marshall on Friday afternoon and took themsome homemade potato soup. Johnnie Mae said they sure enjoyed it and thanked Sylvia very much for it.

My grandson Sheldon Tucker is in Canada now singing and dancing with the play cast of “Bring It On”, a musical. He will be there for four more weeks, then return to New York City. Hopefully I’ll get to see him then.

The Maysville Bible Church parsonage is almost finished, with floors and other things to be done so the pastor and wife can get moved in. We are anxious for them to move in.

We were glad to have visitors at Maysville Bible Church Sunday morning. Janice Bunch had three of her grandchildren with her. They said they would be back and we sure hope so.

Patti King of Lowell visited Ronnie and Debbie Sims on Saturday and spent the night with them.

Jack and Sylvia Tucker’s daughter, Patti King of Lowell, visited them Sunday. She was there when Sylvia got home from church. They always enjoy her visiting.
