— Robert Beaver

Robert Daniel (Bob) Beaver, 81, of Gravette, died April 30, 2012, at Concordia in Bella Vista.

He was born Oct. 9, 1930, south of Quinter, Kan., the youngest son of D.W. and Hulda (Sellberg) Beaver. He attended elementary school at Fairview District #5 in Gove County and graduated from Quinter High School in 1949. He was a member of the Banner Methodist Church south of Collyer, Kan., and later transferred his membership to Gravette. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of V.F.W. He married Ida Marie Morley in June, 1953, in Warrensburg, Mo. He lived and worked in Texas and Kansas before retiring in Gravette.

He was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Barbara Marie; and three sons, Robert Arthur, Donald Eugene and Daneal Ward. He is survived by two grandsons.

Services will be held at a later date in Collyer, Kan. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, Bella Vista.

Roy Boyle

Roy Dean Boyle, 78, of Cherokee City, died May 1, 2012, at Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette.

He was born Dec. 3, 1933, in Decatur, to Mark Boyle and Willa McMorris Boyle. He served in the U.S. Army during peacetime. He was a truck driver for Bredehoeft until his retirement. He married Joyce Snell on July 3, 1959, in Jay, Okla. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robert; one brother, Benny; and two sisters, Opal Martin and Ruth Freeman.

Survivors include his wife Joyce of the home; two sons, Calvin Dale Boyle of Siloam Springs, and Ray Boyle and wife Donna of Oaks, Okla.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Harvey Buck Boyle of Gentry; two sisters, Frances Putman of Siloam Springs, and Shirley Wofford of Colcord, Okla.

Funeral services were May 4 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Larry Ellis officiating. Burial followed at Falling Springs Cemetery, near Decatur. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Catherine Long

Catherine M. Long died April 30, 2012.

She was born in Hopkins, Minn., on May 2, 1921.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara J. Richardson and Jeanne M. Simpson. She is is survived by her husband of 66 years, Richard H. Long; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

No service will be held. Arrangements were by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale.

Frances Meade

Frances Talley Meade, 83, of Gravette, died May 1, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.

She was born Jan. 25, 1929, in Texas to Milton C. Talley and Martha Winkleman Talley. She was raised and educated in the Gravette area. She graduated from Hillcrest Medical Center School of Nursing in Tulsa, Okla. She married John Meade on March 10, 1951, in Gravette, where she lived and was employed at the Gravette Medical Center Hospital for many years as a registered nurse. She enjoyed bird watching, her family and work.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Joe Talley.

She is survived by her husband of Gravette; son, Bill Meade and wife Brenda of Gravette; daughter, Patty Waggoner and husband Rex of Rogers; four grandchildren; and one greatgranddaughter.

Services were May 4 at Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel in Bella Vista. Burial was at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette.

Elda Singleton

Elda Irene Singleton, 98, of Gravette, died May 2, 2012, at Highlands Health in Bella Vista.

She was born June 24, 1913, in Cisco, to Isaac John Burris and Bertha Bell Keller Burris. She lived most of her life in northwest Arkansas and was a homemaker. She married Leonard Singleton on March 31, 1934, in Bentonville. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Bethel Heights.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Dixie Carol Hefton and Ruth Catherine Kuelper; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Floyd Neil Singleton and wife Thelma of Tulsa, Okla., and Gary Allen Singleton and wife Gwen of Maysville; one daughter, Lois Ennis of Montana; 11 grandchildren; 32 greatgrandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were May 5 at Bethel Heights Assembly of God Church in Gentry. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
