Students compete

— Gravette High School DECA students (An Association of Marketing Students) have attended several competitions this spring, according to their sponsor, Bob Johnson.

During the State Leadership Conference, students competed in team decision proposal events, individual presentation events and participated in an election, Johnson said.

Fourteen students competed and four placed in the top six in the state, with the following qualifying to compete at nationals late last month. They are Dakota Welborn who placed third in automotive marketing; Seth Rutherford placed fifth in accounting marketing; and Zak Heald and Sayer Smith, who placed second in the buying and merchandising team decision competition.
