Gentry schools to serve summer meals

— Meals will again be offered in Gentry through the Seamless Summer Program 2012 which runs from May 21 through July 27 (except for Memorial Day and the week of July 4th).

The Seamless Summer program offers breakfast and lunch to any child up to the age of 18 years old for free. Meals will be served Monday through Friday, from 8:30 to 9 a.m., for breakfast; and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch.

Any child may come to the Primary School Cafeteria at 1295 Pioneer Lane for a meal, and adults can eat with their children for$2 per breakfast or $3.10 per lunch.

New to the program this summer, the district will offer community school bus stops for students in grades K-12. For a student to be eligible for transportation, parents must complete a student information form, available online at gentrypioneers.com, at any campus office or at the central administration office. The transportation portion of this program may be cancelled by the district at any time due to lack of participation - in this event, an all-call phone alert will be sent out to notify parents.
