Gravette author holding book signing

— A Gravette stay-at-home mother of five is author of a self-published novel and will be holding book signings later this month.

Amber Ivers, who also cares for her disabled husband, said her first novel, “Discovery,” evolved from a recurring nightmare she experienced as a teenager and is about Alayna, “who woke up cold and in a dark place with no memories of who she is or where she is from.”

The novel poses many of the questions the young girl faced in seeking answers, and the reader experiences those frustrations with her.

“Discovery” was first published in an electronic format a year ago, with the help of Amazon, and is now available in print at the price of $10. A prequel, “Alayna,” isalso available for $10.

Amber will be at the Gravette Public Library from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 18, and at the Gentry Public Library, Tuesday, May 29, same hours.

Kim Schneider, Gravette library director, invites all to meet Amber and hear more about “Discovery” on Friday.
