MT. PLEASANT NEWS

— We are finally getting a little busy at Mt. Pleasant. We have had a good first five months of 2012. Our youth group continues to have their weekly studies on Sunday evening. They have chosen to adopt/ sponsor a young person from Haiti. With their offering each month, this enables this person to go to school. They enjoy doing this and feel like they are making a difference in someone's life.

The Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association is planning a big day for Memorial Day , May 27th, at the cemetery this year. This year is the 100th year of the association. Activities will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Corner Stone Gospel Band. Lunch will be held on the grounds at noon. Bring acovered dish and a lawn chair and enjoy a day of memories and recognition of past officers of the association and our veterans. I think you will have a great time.

Mt. Pleasant is getting ready for revival, beginning on June 10 and continuing through June 13th. Evangelist will be Brother Paul Young. Brother Young and quartet will bring special music on Monday night. Come join us at Mt. Pleasant and receive a blessing. Services will be 6 p.m. on Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Pray for revival both in our church and in our nation.

Mt. Pleasant will be in charge of Care and Share the last week of May. Come see us and help support our mission to help those less fortunate. God bless and have a great week.
