— The Gravette High School Culinary Arts team attended the ProStart National Invitational Competition held recently in Baltimore, Md., said Seanne Sain, GHS instructor who accompanied the students to the competition.

The three-student team, Jacob Scott, Rebekah Rambadt and Courtney Beggs, participated in the restaurant management competition where they presented their restaurant concept “Andouille’s” to a group of hospitality industry leaders.

“Andouille’s is a fine-dining French Creole restaurant which the team createdduring the school year in the GHS culinary program’s ProStart class,” Sain explained.

Competition was among teams from throughout the nation and “although the team did not place in the top five, the students were positive for the valuable criticism and experience the competition and trip offered.”
