— There is plenty of new reading material at the Iva Jane Peek Library, thanks to donations from the Friendly Book Store of Rogers, the Wish You Well Foundation and individuals.

Decatur’s library received donations of new books from the Friendly Book Storeon two occasions, according to librarian Karen Jones. The bookstore, located at 401 North Second Street in Rogers, is an all-volunteer operation of the Friends of the Rogers Library.

“This group has been very helpful to us and brought us a good selection of books. If you are in the Rogers neighborhood, stop in and see what they have for sale,” Jones said.

The Wish You Well Foundation has donated 100 pounds of new books to the Decatur Library. Many of the books were easy reader books for children and juveniles, but there were lots of books for all age groups, Jones said.

The Iva Jane Peek Library is clearing out paperback and other books to make room for the new donations. There are a number of gently used books for sale for $0.25 each.
