— There was a good turnout of voters for the primary election.

Marty Rogers passed away in a Dallas hospital Tuesday night. Sympathy is extended to the Rogers family.

I enjoyed lunch on Sunday with my daughter-inlaw, DaleLynn Carrier.

A large crowd gathered for Memorial Day services at Mt. Pleasant on Sunday. There was a lot of good visiting and catching up with old friends.

An overflow crowd attended the commencement program in Gravette on Saturday. Congratulations to all the graduates, and may they reach their goal in life.

Maxine Holloway isspending a few days in Alma with her sister Faye.

Since none would answer their phones, they must either be at memorial services or out on the lake.

Let us all pray for rain. Our gardens and hay fields need it.

News Leftover from Last Week

The Mt. Pleasant Cemetery will be celebrating its 100th anniversary on Sunday. There will be special singing and other events throughout the day.

Those having lunch with me on Sunday were Ward and Paula Carrier,Brian and Diane Carrier and Gabe Carrier.

Lofty and DaleLynn Carrier were in Mountain View over Sunday.

Novella Carlton and Gloria Hill went out to lunch on Friday and shopped at the Wild Bird Store in Pinnacle Hills Shopping Center in Rogers.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carver and Jake attended a baseball tournament in Pea Ridge on Saturday. Jake’s team won their first game but lost the second one.

Most schools have dismissed for the summer. There are more children out on the roads so drive carefully.
