LITTLE ROCK — GRAVETTE - A reception honoring Katherine Tucker to celebrate her 90th birthday will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, at Horton Farms, 14799 Bethlehem Road, southeast of Gravette.
Until moving to Gravette several years ago, Mrs. Tucker was a long-time resident of the Maysville community. She served as Maysville correspondent for the Gravette News Herald and now the Eagle Observer for many years. She was, and still is, active in the Maysville Extension Homemakers Club as well as in church and community activities.
She has worked many years at election sites and was clerk more than 12 hours in Gravette during this year’s election, Nov. 6. This was in spite of her recent illness, hospitalization and therapy. “I just don’t give up,” she said.
Her children invite allfriends and family to drop in between the hours of 1 and 3 in the afternoon to help her celebrate. Cards will be appreciated, but no gifts, please.
To reach Horton Farms,go south of Gravette on Highway 59, turn left on Bethlehem Road for 2.7 miles, turn right at the first stop light for .7 mile, then turn right onto Horton Farms Lane.
