Alan and Monica Thomason celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary recently. They were given a celebration hosted by their children, Shelby and William. Congratulations! Hope you have many more years together.

Sunday, Dec. 2, begins our holiday celebrations at Maysville Bible Church, beginning in the morning services. Everyone is welcome. It will be the hanging of the green. If you don’t have a church, we welcome you any time.

Melinda Tucker, wife of Caroll Tucker, passed away Saturday morning at her home. There was visitation Sunday afternoon at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Sympathy is extended to her family.

We are having nice weather now for November. Guess we had better enjoy it. I’m sure it will change come December.

Those enjoying Thanksgiving in the home of Ronnie and Debbie Sims were Jack and Sylvia Tucker, Patti King and friend Petru of Lowell. They report plenty ofgood food and football games to watch.

I was surprised at Maysville Bible Church Sunday morning with a birthday celebration after morning services with cake, punch and cookies. Thanks to you all. I think it’s good to keep having birthday with all of the attention I’ve received. I’ve had cards and phone calls. Makes you want to continue having them.

My son Steve came after me and I spent Thanksgiving Day with them and some of Susan’s family from Virginia, Mo., and Harrison. The ones from Harrison were Seth, Melody and Judah, so I got to spend time with my great-grandson Judah. We got to watch Steve and Susan’s son Sheldon in the Macy Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City. We all enjoyed that. We had plenty of good food and visiting. It sure was an enjoyable day.

It was good to have Eula Evans back in church Sunday morning after recuperating from a fall at home recently. Glad she is able to be back with us.
