Fall cleanup set Oct. 16

— Fall cleanup in Gravette will be held Tuesday, Oct. 16, when Deffenbaugh, the city’s disposal provider, will pick up approved items left curbside that day only.

The following items are among those not allowed: mattresses, electronics, TV sets, appliances, paint, tires and any hazardous materials such as in- secticides and other poisons.

Large, bulky items “no larger than a two-cushion love seat” are acceptable, a spokesper- son for the firm told the city council.

Please have items at curbside early Tuesday, the regular trash pickup day. Items left after pickup in a neighborhood will not be picked up later.

All items should be bagged or boxed. No loose items will be picked up.

If you have questions or are unsure, please call Gravette City Hall, 787-5757, for information.

A special trailer will be parked Tuesday only next to the regular recycling trailers at 606 First Ave. SE (on the north side of Gravette Police Department). Anyone in the city or within Gravette Planning District may use this trailer to dispose of TVs and old electronics. This trailer, loaned by the Benton County Solid Waste District, is avail- able at no charge to citizens or to the city.

Non-acceptable items may be disposed of at no charge at the Benton County Solid Waste collection site. Call 795-0751 for hours and information.
