WESTSIDE — Attorney David R. Matthews, a former State Representative who served northwest Benton County from 1983-1990, will be honored at the annual Democrat Little Flock Picnic Oct. 20 at that city’s park.
Matthews is the 2012 recipient of the Jim andRita Walters Outstanding Democrat award and will join keynote speaker Atty. Gen. Dustin McDaniel and other Democratic candidates at the fundraiser from 4 to 6 p.m.
The Rogers attorney has received numerous awards from the Arkansas Bar Assn. and served as a Special Justice for the Arkansas Supreme Court in 1991.
