Benton County Extension Homemakers learn, lead and serve in local E.H. clubs

— Onehundred-fifty Extension Homemakers representing 12 clubs in Benton County are inviting others to join them in learning ways to improve their quality of living through continuing education, leadership development and community service.

Extension Homemakers are people just like you. Some are working moms, some grandmothers and some retired from lifelong professions. Anyone, regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, marital or veteran status, or any legally protected status who wants to know timely information about individual, family or community life may join.

The clubs offer the latest information on nutrition, health and wellness, creative arts, resource management, overall family living and much more. Members also have a chance to help with community projects that benefit local individuals and families.

Extension Homemaker Clubs are a part of the University of Arkansas and Benton County Cooperative Extension ServiceFamily & Consumer Science program.

Those interested in joining an existing club may choose from the following: Avoca, Bella Vista Homesteaders, Brightwater, Evening Star, Highfill, Liberty Bell, Maysville, Merry Matrons, Morning Star, New Meadowbrook, Silent Grove and Vaughn.

To form a new club or for answers to any questions concerning the existing clubs or about any of Extension educational programs, contact Susan Pickle, county Extension agent, Family & Consumer Sciences, at 271-1060 or email [email protected].
