Highfill buys fire truck

HIGHFILL — Highfill recently purchased a used fire engine from the city of Bentonville.

The Bentonville City Council accepted Highfill’s bid for a 1997 surplustruck at a recent meeting.

Highfill offered the only bid, $58,002, for a 1997 EOne truck offered for sale Aug. 1. Bentonville’s Fire Department budgeted $450,000 this year to buy a new truck.
