Job fair set in Gravette on Thursday, Friday

Gravette Library hosting job workshop on Thursday, area business reps coming to Civic Center Friday

— Representatives from 17 businesses and organizations will be involved with a Job Fair and Workshop scheduled this week at the Gravette Public Library.

The Job Fair will be held Thursday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to provide practice on resume writing and other information for job seekers.

The following day,Friday, Sept. 21, reps from the participating businesses will be at the Civic Center to give hands-on information, including how to prepare for job applications and practice interviews.

The participating firms include Simmons Foods, Tysons, La-ZBoy, Amark, Walmart, Bank of Gravett, Staffmark, Sportswired, Marvin’s, Arvest Bank,Cargill, Ozarks Community Hospital, Arkansas WorkForce Center, People Source and all branches of the Armed Services.

According to Kim Schneider, library director, there is no charge, “everything is free” and persons from all the surrounding towns and area are invited to attend. Call the library, 787-6955, for information if needed.
