— We sure got a good rain this week. Some areas received as much as five inches. Sure seems good to see the pastures and yards so green. I’m sure the farmers were happy to get the rain.

Sylvia Tucker visited Johnnie Mae Marshall one day last week. I think they are planning to crochet again soon.

My visitors on Monday were David and Betty Jean Tucker, Clifton Tucker, Steve and Susan Tucker, Gary and Helen Chism and grandchildren Billy and Julie Cook. I always enjoy all of them coming to visit.

Shelly Bishop visited her grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, one day last week.

Maysville E.H. Club is still planning thecommunity yard sale at the gym Sept. 29. We have booths for rent. Contact Sylvia Tucker, 291-4542, or Melinda Crawley, 291-0011. You can also sell crafts in your booth. Gwen Singleton is chairman of this project. Call her at 291-4520. The club will have a food booth.

Our morning services at the Maysville Bible Church were some singing which we all enjoyed. Our pastor is Jim Whisenant and his family. Maybe we can get them to do that again.

Maysville E. H. Club has its fall fund-raiser planned: Indian tacos, a cake walk and homemade pies for sale. It will be Oct. 13. Mark your calendar for this. The funds from it will help pay expenses on the building.
