GENTRY — Sometime on Sept. 11 or Sept. 12, according to police reports, a number of tools belonging to Robert Clark of Decatur were stolen from the porch of a Gentry home where he had been working on a remodeling job.
The tools - including a miter saw, reciprocating saw, worm drive saw, sliding nailer, nailing adapter and power cord - were taken from ahome at 208 Edminston Rd. in Gentry.
Because the total value of the tools exceeds $500, the theft is regarded as a felony. A number of the stolen tools were entered in the FBI’s National Crime Information Center’s database so that a check of the serial numbers by law enforcement officials will reveal them as stolen and connect them to the Gentry theft.
