Tools stolen from porch in Gentry

— Sometime on Sept. 11 or Sept. 12, according to police reports, a number of tools belonging to Robert Clark of Decatur were stolen from the porch of a Gentry home where he had been working on a remodeling job.

The tools - including a miter saw, reciprocating saw, worm drive saw, sliding nailer, nailing adapter and power cord - were taken from ahome at 208 Edminston Rd. in Gentry.

Because the total value of the tools exceeds $500, the theft is regarded as a felony. A number of the stolen tools were entered in the FBI’s National Crime Information Center’s database so that a check of the serial numbers by law enforcement officials will reveal them as stolen and connect them to the Gentry theft.

Anyone with any information on the theft is asked to call the Gentry Police Department at 736-8400.
