H.I.P.P.Y. Enrollment

HIPPY is a 30-week school readiness, parent involvement program for parents of 3 and 4 year olds. Supplies, books and lessons are delivered to your home on a weekly basis. A home-based educator works with the parent, who in turn works with the child about 13 minutes per day. This process has proven successful in Arkansas for over 25 years. HIPPY is funded by the state and local school districts, so there is no cost to parents. Once a month there is group play time to allow the children to meet other children their age. Enrolling is easy but space is limited. Translators are available in the Decatur and Gravette area. Call the Siloam Springs offi ce, 549-9046, and leave a phone number, child’s name and birthday. Preschoolers must be 3 by Aug. 1 to participate. For more information, call or text Tawny Donell, 340-4589, or Erica (in Spanish), 228-2203.
