Elsie Bayless

Elsie Ruth Bayless, 73, of Decatur, died Aug. 12, 2013, in Bentonville.

She was born April 11, 1940, in Decatur, to Thomas and Grace Wilmoth. She was a manager for Southwestern Bell for many years and a member of the Falling Springs Church.

She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Gene Bayless; three brothers, Tom, Floyd and Fred Wilmoth; two sisters, Wava Dalmadge and Edna Mae Brandon.

Survivors include two children, Ray Bayless and Gayla Corbin, both of Decatur; four brothers, Finis, Bill, Earl and Kenny Wilmoth; two sisters, Beverly Smith and Virginia Brockway; four grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.

Graveside services were Aug. 16 at Falling Springs Cemetery, near Decatur, with Mark Rotramel offi ciating. Arrangements were by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Darrell Cook

Darrell William Cook, 53, of Gentry, died Aug. 22, 2013, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County, Bentonville.

He was born March 24, 1960, in Modesto, Calif., to Clifford and Elwanda Cook. He married Iva Kincheloe on Jan. 16, 1986, in Gentry. He worked for Peterson Farms for 28 years and worked for Simmons Foods for the past three months.

Survivors include his wife, Iva; two sons, James Cook and wife Jennifer of Claremore, Okla., and Carl Cook and wife Melissa of Siloam Springs; one daughter, Lula Carbajal and husband Jose of Bentonville; and fi ve grandchildren.

Graveside services were Aug. 26 at Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, with Gary Riley officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Charles Duncan

Charles “Steve” Duncan, 59, of Bella Vista, died on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Bentonville Manor.

He was born Nov. 27, 1953, in Bentonville, to Charles and Ruby (Dawson) Duncan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Duncan.

He is survived by his mother, Ruby Duncan of Gravette; one daughter, Candice Duncan of Bentonville; one brother, James Duncan of Bella Vista; and one sister, Patti Hust and her husband Mike of Gravette.

Private burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Gravette.

Arrangements were by Epting Funeral Home of Bentonville.

Gregory Gilbert

Gregory Lynn Gilbert, 51, of Colcord, Okla., died Aug. 19, 2013, at the Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.

He was born Aug. 22, 1961, in Miami, Okla., toElisha and Marjorie Gilbert. He married Tamara Davis in Clayton, Okla., on June 7, 1986. He was the band director for the Colcord Public Schools for 18 years. He was a member of the Oklahoma Music Educators Association and the Oklahoma Band Association. He enjoyed spending time with his family, running, playing golf and the trumpet. He was affi liated with the Mosley United Regular Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elisha; a son, Deric Gregory Gilbert; and a brother, Matthew Gilbert.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy, of the home; children, Shelby Breanne Gilbert of Tahlequah, Okla., Austin Layne Gilbert of the home, Alayna Danielle Copeland and husband Stephen of W. Siloam Springs, Okla., one grandchild; mother, Marjorie Gilbert of Miami, Okla.; brother Terry Gilbert of Miami; sister, Mardella Boyer and husband Stanley of Miami.

Funeral service was at the Colcord Hornet Arena in Colcord, on Aug. 23, with Mark Sherrell andLarry Ellis offi ciating. Burial was at Ballard Cemetery in Bernice, Okla. Arrangements were by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Charles Ratledge

Charles Foster Ratledge, 45, of Decatur, died Aug. 18, 2013, in Bentonville.

He was born Feb. 16, 1968, in Hugoton, Kan., to Charles and Joyce Kelsey Ratledge.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tennie Ratledge; and two grandchildren, Kayla and Jacob Ratledge.

He is survived by his three sons, Charles Ratledge, Jr., of Siloam Springs, Michael Ratledge and Jon Ratledge, both of Gravette; his mother, Joyce Smith; and his father, Charles Ratledge; stepbrother, Jerry Smith of Decatur; and stepsisters, Vanessa Willis of Hugoton, Kan., Cheryl Waeltz of Sulphur Springs, Diona Hixson and Catherine Smith, both of Siloam Springs; and four grandchildren.

Service was Aug. 19. Arrangements were by Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers.
