Lighting ceremony set Friday

— The lighting ceremony for the annual “Love Lights a Tree” project will begin at 7 p.m. this Friday, Dec. 6, at Gravette’s Centennial Park. All are invited to attend the ceremony and lighting of the decorated tree.

The project, now in its 17th year, raises funds for the American Cancer Society. White lights will honor a person’s memory, red lights will honor survivors and blue lights will represent people in the military or anyone donors would like to remember duringthe holidays. Suggested donations of $5 may be sent to “Love Lights a Tree,” P.O. Box 116, Gravette, AR 72736 or given to Ruth Foster, Colleen Dickinson or Mary BethMitchael. Include your name, person you wish to honor and your relationship to the honoree.

The Gravette city crew participates in the project by decorating the tree.Organizers thank them and all who support this worthwhile project benefiting the research and service programs of the American Cancer Society of Northwest Arkansas.
