GRAVETTE -- A Gravette man was arrested Saturday after a 12-year-old girl said they had sex at his sister's apartment, according to a probable cause affidavit released Sunday.

Zachary Allen Campbell, 19, of 11586 Stage Coach Road, Gravette, was arrested by Centerton police Saturday in connection with felony rape. He was being held Sunday at the Benton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.

The girl was reported missing after she did not meet her mother.

The girl told police she spent Friday night at an apartment with Campbell.

She told police she and Campbell "had sex on the air mattress in the living room." The girl also described what Campbell wore and the room.

The interview was conducted at the Children's Advocacy Center.

Campbell did not want to meet with police at first, but officers found him at his sister's apartment. He said he was dating the 12-year-old girl and knew her age.

He denied having sex with the girl Friday, but he said the two had sex previously, he told police.
