Donald Blaine

Donald Dean Blaine, 67, of Watts, Okla., died Feb. 1, 2013, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

He was born June 19, 1945, in Siloam Springs, to Claude Blaine and Mildred Woods Blaine. He was an army veteran of Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service Award. He was a truck driver for more than 40 years.

Survivors include five sons, Dwayne Silvey and wife Melanie of Siloam Springs, Mike Silvey of West Siloam Springs, Okla., Warren Blaine and Darin Blaine, both of Florida, and Kevin Blaine and wife K.D., of West Siloam Springs; nine grandchildren; and stepsister, Anna Bell Simmons of Gentry.

Funeral services were Feb. 5 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Dennis Taylor officiating. Burial followed at Blagg Cemetery, Benton County. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Earl Ford

Earl Lee Ford, 49, of Rogers, died Jan. 27, 2013, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

He was born Jan. 20, 1964, in Gravette, to Linda Louvean Hicks and Coy Lee Ford. He enjoyed four-wheeling in his jeep, riding his motorcycle and working on and rebuilding old cars. He was a mechanic for several years with Springdale Dodge. He enjoyed fishing when he had spare time. He was a lifetime resident of Northwest Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Hicks of Springdale; one son, Calvin James Ford of Fayetteville; one brother, Ricky Eugene Ford and his wife Sabrina of Springdale; three sisters, LouAnn Richardson and her husband, Jimmy of Rogers, Lottie Eisenhart and her husband, Perry of Fayetteville, Melinda Myers and her husband Jimmy of Springdale; and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville. Funeral service will be Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene in Fayetteville, with Larry Woodward officiating. Interment will take place at Omaha Methodist Cemetery in Omaha, at 3:30 p.m. Arrangements are by Epting Funeral Home.

Benjamin Todd, Jr.

Benjamin Hershel Todd Jr., 87, of Sulphur Springs died Jan. 27, 2013, in Springdale.

He was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Hiwasse to Benjamin Hershel and Ida Mae Mason Todd, Sr.

He is survived by three brothers, Wilford Todd, John Henry Todd and Donald Ray Todd, all of Sulphur Springs; two sisters, Mary Grissom of Sulphur Springs, and Grace Motley of Wichita, Kan.

A graveside service was held Feb. 1, at the Butler Creek Cemetery. Arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville.

Darlene Nelson

Darlene C. Nelson, 72, of Gentry, died Jan. 30, 2013, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital, Siloam Springs.

She was born Feb. 15, 1940, at Burlington, Iowa, to Clarence Hanson and Hazel Zerber Hanson. She moved to Gentry from Michigan in1989 and was a line worker for McKee Foods in Gentry. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Earl Nelson in 2006.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Wayes and husband Bryan of Round Mountain, Nev., and Kari Hawkins and husband Ronnie of Bentonville; two sons, Gregory Nelson and wife Linda Johanasson of Ontonagon, Mich., and Jon Nelson and wife Kaley of Gentry; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Charlene Parnham

Charlene GL Coates Parnham, 88, of Gravette, died Feb. 1, 2013, at Highlands Health and Rehab in Bella Vista.

She was born Sept. 9, 1924, in College Springs, Iowa, to Charles and Della Coates. She graduated in 1942 from Elmo High School in Elmo, Mo. She attended business college in St. Joseph, Mo. She married Richard Parnham on Feb. 5, 1945. She was a member of First Christian Church in Gravette and Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and her husband.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Kelley and husband Robert Kelley of Gravette; two grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

Funeral service was Feb. 5 at First Christian Church in Gravette. Burial was at the Georgia Flats Cemetery in Gravette. Arrangements were by Bella Vista Funeral Home, Bella Vista.

Anna Skaggs

Anna Lea Swank Skaggs, 84, of Centerton, died Jan. 29, 2013, at Mercy-St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Mo.

She was born Sept. 3, 1928, in Hiwasse, to Bert Allen and Una Croxdale Allen. She was raised and educated in Hiwasse. She was employed by Daisy Manufacturing for 33 years. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church in Centerton. She loved her grandkids and gardening.

She was preceded in death by son, Lesley Donald Swank; and daughter, Cleta Norton.

She is survived by three sons, Frank Swank (Marilyn) of Gravette, Kenneth Swank (Kelli) of Centerton, Vernon Swank (Kitty) of Rogers; one daughter, Deanna Haughn (Mike) of Gravette; one brother, Gary Allen of Oklahoma; three sisters, Kayvee Spiva of Oklahoma, Jocecil Bates of Missouri, Mary Ruth Smith of Bella Vista; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Feb. 5, at Bella Vista Funeral Home. Burial was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Gravette. Arrangements were by Bella Vista Funeral Home.

Loreta Talbot

Loreta Jo Talbot, 79, of Maysville, died Jan. 28, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers.

She was born July 24, 1933, in Gentry, to Guy Ward and Josephine Maulding Ward. She married William “Budgy” Talbot on Jan. 7, 1949, in Decatur. She was a homemaker and a member of the Maysville Bible Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband on May 21, 2011; one son, Jessie Leo Talbot; one daughter, Bonita Ione Talbot; three brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Ineta Jo Crouch and husband Kenneth of Centerton, and Vinita Lang of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sons, Carl Duane Talbot of Maysville, and Rickey Talbot of Jay, Okla.; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Marcia Lee Pritchard of Gravette, and Mabel Ward of Maysville.

Funeral was Feb. 1 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Jim Whisenant officiating. Burial was private. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home.

Peggy Welch

Peggy Lee Welch, 69, of Siloam Springs, died Jan. 30, 2013, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.

She was born Oct. 27 1943, in Siloam Springs, she was the daughter of Commodore Franklin Trammel and Elizabeth Elaine Crowder Trammel. She lived most of her life in Siloam Springs and worked for Simmons Industries.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jericho Welch; one granddaughter Shailee Welch; and two great grandchildren, Caleb Welch and Lakken Welch.

Survivors include one son, Eddie Welch of Jay, Okla.; one daughter, Beth McNail and husband John of Gentry; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

No services are planned. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
