GENTRY — No charges will be filed against Blake Rhein, a former physical education and health teacher at Gentry Middle School and soccer coach at the high school.
According to GentryPolice Chief Keith Smith, his office was notified by the Benton County prosecutor’s office that there was insufficient evidence to pursue prosecution against Rhein, or anyone else in the case.
The school board voted last spring not to renew Rhein's 2012-2013 employment contract,following the abuse allegations.
According to Smith, a parent contacted police regarding possible physical abuse of several students.
During the investigation, Smith said his department interviewed numerous people and possible victims.
