DECATUR — A 76-year-old Decatur woman was killed Thursday in a one-vehicle wreck on Arkansas 12, according to Arkansas State Police.
Joan Patterson was northbound on Arkansas 12 in a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta when the vehicle ran off the left side of the road, hit a drainage ditch and rolled twice, according to an accident report.The accident occurred at 1:01 p.m. Bentonville police responded to the scene.
James Patterson, 81, who also was in the vehicle, was injured and taken to Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville.
According to the report, there was a light rain at the time of the accident and the road was wet.
Bentonville police officer Andy Ball was the investigating officer.
