Albert Dill

Albert Eugene Dill, 67, of Rogers, died Jan. 18, 2013, at his home.

He was born Aug. 16, 1945, in Carthage, Mo., to Eugene Dill and Sylvia Hutton Dill. He was a longtime resident of northwest Arkansas and worked as a truck driver for many years. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Dill.

Survivors include his mother, Sylvia Amos and husband Dean of Decatur.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Jan. 23, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, with Bill Query officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, near Gravette. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Paul Hughes, Jr.

Paul J. Hughes, Jr., 65, of Gentry, died Jan. 16, 2013, in Bentonville.

He was born Feb. 21, 1947, in Long Beach, Calif., to Paul Hughes, Sr., and Catherine Wearing Hughes. He was a salesman at Grey Automotive in Siloam Springs. He, with his wife Melody and his brother Reed, designed and owned The Creeks from 1990 to 2000. His favorite pastimes were hunting and golfing.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Melody Reed Hughes; his daughter, Amy Williams and husband Dan; his sisters, Pam Powers and Nancy Woods; his brother, Reed Hughes; and three grandchildren.

Memorial services were Jan. 20 at Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers.

Thelma 'Sis' Manos

Thelma Clarice “Sis” Manos, 91, of Siloam Springs, died Jan. 21, 2013, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.

She was born Sept. 20, 1921, in Decatur, to Ralph Austin and Tempie Margaret Wilmoth Austin. On May 28, 1941, she married Ray Dean Manos in Pineville, Mo. She was a homemaker and a member of Decatur Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed sewing and embroidery.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001; two brothers, Emmett “Pete” Austin and Clinton “Dick” Austin; and one sister, Ella Lee Austin Hainline.

Survivors include: one sister, Nadean Londagin of Decatur; two sons, Garry Manos and wife RoxAnna of Gentry, and Larry Manos and wife Glenda of Siloam Springs; four granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, at Falling Springs Church, west of Decatur, with Dennis Jech and Kirk Anderson officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. Burial will be at Falling Springs Cemetery, Decatur. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home.

Joan ‘Jo’ Patterson

Joan “Jo” Patterson, 76, of Decatur, died Jan. 10, 2013, after a car accident.

She was a very active member of the New Wine Ministries Church in Bella Vista and she loved spending time with her husband James.

She is survived by her husband, James F. Patterson of the home; one son, James E. Patterson and wife Kim of Arizona; one daughter, Debbie M. Hanks and husband Jim of Arizona; one sister, Jane Harris and husband Remey of Florida; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were Jan. 13 at the New Wine Ministries Church in Bella Vista. Arrangements were by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home and Crematory of Rogers.

Arch Roller

Arch Raymond Roller, 93, of Decatur, died Jan, 18, 2013, at Washington Regional Hospital, Fayetteville.

He was born Sept. 4, 1919, in Batesville, to Tom F. Roller and Julia Della Ellis Roller. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He married Marjorie Close on June 25, 1939. He was owner and operator of the Roller General Store in Decatur until it sold in 1955. He worked for Peterson Industries for 47 years as a feed mill manager and later as a farm manager. He was a member of Decatur United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, one brother and one sister.

Survivors include one son, Alan Roller and wife Nancy of Tontitown.

Funeral services were held Jan. 22 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Russ Hall officiating. Burial was at Decatur Cemetery, Decatur. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

V. Louise Woods

Louise Woods, 91, of Colcord, Okla., died Jan. 20, 2013, at her home.

She was born April 10, 1921, in Birmingham, Ala., to Charlie Wakefield and Grace Whatley Wakefield. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. Louise married Jewell Woods on Dec. 17, 1940.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003; two brothers; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include five sons, Marion Woods and wife Sarah of Leach, Okla., Howard Woods and wife Christine, and David Woods and wife Cecile, all of West Siloam Springs, Okla., Bill Woods, and Jack Woods and wife Jane, all of Colcord; one daughter, Viola Sherman and husband Wayne of Noel, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Wakefield of Houston, Texas, and Dee Wakefield of Mississippi; and four sisters, Lorene Parks of Yuba City, Calif., Ethel Brewer of Memphis, Tenn., Virginia Arnett of New Haven, Miss., and Cecil Reed of Walls, Miss.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Allen Cemetery, near Moseley, Okla., with Larry Ellis officiating. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
