GRAVETTE - Stephen Johnson, athletic director for the Boys & Girls Club of Western Benton County, announced registration has begun for a fall flag football program.
Teams will be comprised of players from Gravette and the surrounding area, Johnson said. Registration will take place through Friday, August 2, at the Boys & Girls Club in Gravette.
Players are being sought from kindergarten through third grade (in fall of 2013), with games to be played in Gravette on Saturday mornings during the months of September and October.
Johnson explained, “The flag football program is sponsored by the NFL and the cost for registration is $65 per player. There are scholarship opportunities available,” he added. Fees cover cost of the player’s jersey and flags for game day.
Volunteer coaches are also being sought for the teams, and persons interested are asked to contact Stephen at [email protected] or call 787-6524.
