Letter To The Editor

Last Friday when the electricity went off because of a transformer, my daughter Katie and I (Ann) went to see if the lights were off at Walmart in Gravette. As we started out, I heard a funny noise coming from my car and realized I had a flat.

I decided to turn around and go back to my son’s home. We are not from here but are visiting my son Ryan, who lives here.

As I approached Marvin’s, I put on my hazards. As I did, I saw blue fl ashing lights come on. I pulled into Marvin’s parking lot. As I got out of the car, officer Braxton Handle got out with a flashlight and checked my rear fl at. He went to work getting my tire changed. Officer Josh Crain, who was out driving his wife and sleepy baby to keep her cool because the electricity was still out, started helping officer Handle.

I have an Ford Expedition and this is no easy task. There’s no way I could have done this. My son was still at work.

Also, before I knew it, one whom I believe was the police chief was also there helping air up the tire. And then another officer came to assist - a nice big fellow whose name I cannot recall. So, a total of four of the most polite, kind and helpful officers were there.

My daughter and I are truly grateful. When this all happened, I remember saying, “Oh, God what am I going to do?”

My daughter Katie said, “God answered your prayers, sending four blessings.” Thank you so much Ann and Katie Dedmon
