GRAVETTE — Two barns at the farm of Ron Jarvis, east of Gravette, were destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon when a controlled burn spread to one structure which ignited the second barn.

A quantity of hay and several pieces of farm machinery were destroyed in the blaze, according to the Gravette Fire Department.

Earlier in the day, the department responded to a flue fire at a residence located just off Wildwood Way southeast of Gravette. Report of any damage was not immediately available.
