Joyce Fern Boyle

Joyce Fern Boyle, 75, of Gentry, Arkansas, died March 5, 2013, at her home.

Born March 31, 1937, in Delaware County, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Bud Snell and Emma Dry Snell. She graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree in education. She was a retired kindergarten teacher for Gentry Public Schools. Joyce married Roy Boyle on July 3, 1959, in Jay, Oklahoma. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son; two brothers, and two sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Calvin Dale Boyle of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Ray Boyle of Oaks, Oklahoma, five grandchildren, Kelvin, Warren, Kyle, Ashley, and Amber; eight greatgrandchildren, Damien, Shelby, Kierstyn, Johnny, Skylynn, Destiny, McKenzie, and Elijuah.

Pallbearers were Kurt Noe, David Noe, Mike Noe, Jason Morgan, Kenny Boyle, Dustin Clapp, Larry Boyle, Ivan Gurule, and Cody Haag.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2013, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Mr. Larry Ellis officiating. Burial followed at Falling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, Arkansas. Visitation was from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. Margie Beck

Margie Lou Beck, 75, of Colcord, Okla., died March 10, 2013, at Northwest Medical Center, Springdale.

She was born Aug. 24, 1937, in Creek County, Okla., to T.E. Henshaw and Nova Shelton Henshaw. She married Woodrow C. Beck on Jan. 23, 1951. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one stepson; one stepdaughter; two sisters; and one brother. Survivors include six sons, Charles Beck and wife Donna of Tahlequah, Okla., Darrell Beck and wife Valeria of Jay, Okla., Timmy Beck and wife Betty of Colcord, Don Beck and wife Betty of Twin Oaks, Okla., David Beck and wife Patty of Colcord, and Keith Beck and wife Loretta of Siloam Springs; stepson, Jim Beck and wife Wanda of Blackwell, Okla.; one stepdaughter, Eleanor Day of Catoosa, Okla.; three sisters, Helen Shaw of Drumright, Okla.; Virginia Schiller of Milfay, Okla., and Brenda Crane of Cushing, Okla.; one brother, Teddy Henshaw of Drumright, Okla.; 33 grandchildren; numerous greatgrandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were March 14 at Bethel Holiness Church, Sandusky, Okla., with Aaron Vick and Darrell Norvell officiating. Burial followed at Dickson Cemetery, Cherokee City. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Betty Beckett

Betty Jane Beckett, 92, of Jay, Okla., formerly of Pineville, Mo., died March 14, 2013, at Monroe Manor in Jay.

She was born March 22, 1920, in Springfield, Mo., to Henry Hobson and Josephine (Hall) Reece. She was raised in Springfield and was a graduate of Russellville High School in Russellville. She married James Ray Beckett, Sr., on May 10, 1942, in Vinita, Okla., and had three sons and two daughters. She resided in Springfield, Joplin and Gravette, before moving to Pineville in 1972. She was a homemaker and also worked for several years as a doctor’s assistant. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano and arts and craft projects. She was a member of the Valley View Church in Pineville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years; a son, Ronnie Beckett; two great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Michael Presley. She is survived by two sons, James Ray Beckett, Jr., and wife Deanna Sue of Jay, and William Joseph Beckett and wife LaMelia of Stella, Mo.; two daughters, Nancy Jane Weber and husband Mike of Goodman, Mo., and Tamara Presley of Gravette; 21 grandchildren; several great- and great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Vivian Grogan of Bartlesville, Okla., Mary Jo Brown of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Sue Greer of Bois D’Arc, Mo.; one brother, Robert Reece of Bois D’Arc; and a sister in-law, Opal Leonard of Gravette.

Funeral services were March 19 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes, with Aaron Greer officiating. Burial followed in the Bethel Cemetery in Gravette. Arrangements were by Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Mo.

Clifford Beehler

Clifford Eugene Beehler, 78, of Garfield, died March 9, 2013, at his home.

He was born July 26, 1934, in Centralia, Okla., to Fred R. Beehler and Grace Louise Ellis. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, serving in the Navy as an AT3 in reconnaissance for four years; an electronic specialist for 10 years with McDonnell-Douglas; owner and home builder with Village Custom Builders and owner of Lost Bridge Resort for 30 years. He and Mary served as foster parents for 20 years. He was a member of Rogers First Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Morris, Donald and Myron. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Beehler of the home; three children, Janet White and husband John of Gravette, Scott Beehler and wife Angie of Pea Ridge, and Nancy Autry and husband Curtiss of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sisters, Frieda Spaulding of Wichita, Kan., and Tinnie King and husband Gale of Bartlesville, Okla.; six grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were March 13 at Rogers First Church of the Nazarene, with Alan Johnson officiating. Military honors were by the Rogers American Legion Post 100. Interment was at the Ruddick Cemetery in Garfield. Arrangements were by Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers.

Martha Billbe

Martha Jane Billbe, 79, of Noel, Mo., died March 8, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Mo.

She was born July 29, 1933, in Bentonville, to John and Helen (Parker) Conner. She was raised in Northwest Arkansas, primarily in the Decatur and Springdale area. She married Robert Howard Billbe on April 25, 1952, in Decatur. She retired in 2005 from the Gravette Hospital, where she worked as a clerk for more than 36 years. She enjoyed collecting birdhouses and country music CDs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jack Conner; and two sisters, Opal Asher and Lucy Deason. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert H. Billbe, Sr., of the home; a son, Robert H. Billbe, Jr., of Noel, Mo.; two grandsons; a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Joann Blair of Kansas, Okla., and Ida Clifton of Garland, Texas.

Graveside funeral services were March 13, 2013 at the Falling Springs Cemetery near Decatur, with Raymond Scott officiating. Arrangements were by Ozark Funeral Home in Noel.

Timothy Gable

Timothy Bryan Gable, 43, died March 11, 2013, in Denver, Colo.

He was born in Tulsa, Okla., on Dec. 13, 1969, to Gary D. Gable and Donna S. Smith Leipold. He grew up in the Claremore area, where he attended Sequoyah Schools. He also lived in Arizona and Kansas before joining the Navy in June of 1989. Upon leaving the military, he moved to Arkansas, where he worked at Marvin’s IGA in Gravette, as well as working alongside his brother on a cattle farm near Southwest City, Mo. He was an avid OU fan, and loved sports.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Olen and Gearldine Gable, Harvey and Anna Mae Smith, and Lee and Doris Cripps. Survivors include his parents, Donna and John Leipold of Norton, Kan., and Gary and Tina Gable of Gravette; one brother, Chris Gable, of Norton; and two sisters, Lauren (Dan) Kennedy of Kearney, Neb., and Jeanelle (Brad) Harris of Decatur; his grandparents, Bill and Val Leipold.

Funeral services were March 19 at Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Home, Claremore, Okla., Arrangements were by Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Home.

Nina Henson

Nina Henson, 80, of West Siloam Springs, Okla., died March 11, 2013, at Quail Ridge Living Center, West Siloam Springs.

She was born Oct. 5, 1932, in Lincoln, to Brice Rolandis Disney and Ida Dove Iley Disney. She married Melvin Henson on Oct. 10, 1949, in Fayetteville. She was a homemaker and dairy farmed with her husband for several years. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dove Riddle; two sisters; and one brother.

Survivors include her husband Melvin of West Siloam Springs; four daughters, Donna Dareing and husband Jack of Elkins, Denise Wheeler and husband Doug of Westville, Okla., Debra Carey and husband Mike of Springdale, and Dione Bennett and husband John of Gentry; one son, Dale Henson and wife Marie of Colcord, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Herb Disney of Elkins; and one sister, Georgia Torrise of Tom’s River, N.J.

Funeral services were March 13 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Ken Leach officiating. Burial followed at Johnson Cemetery, West Siloam Springs.

Betty Lebeda

Betty Lebeda, 74, of Maysville, died March 11, 2013, at Concordia Care and Rehabilitation in Bella Vista.

She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on June 20, 1938, to Joseph and Martha (Titera) Stejskal. She was owner and operator of the Maysville Diner and manager of the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market for many years. She loved gardening, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lebeda, and her parents. She is survived by three sons, Phillip Lebeda and wife Tina of Arizona, Wayne Lebeda of Maysville, Ray Lebeda, M.D., and wife Melia Evans, M.D., of Florida; two daughters, Sandy Rathjen and husband Gary of Oklahoma, Vicky Dorsett and husband David of Kansas; one brother, Joe Stejskal of California; one sister, Lynn Leusinger of Idaho; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held. Arrangements are by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home and Crematory of Rogers.

Patricia Ott

Patricia Ann Ott, 70, of Sulphur Springs, died March 11, 2013.

She was born Dec. 13, 1942, in Globe, Ariz., to Andrew and Lucille Compton. She married Cecil L. Ott on July 26, 1958. She worked at the McDonald County Senior Center for 24 years and retired in December of 2012.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include one son, Ernest Ott of Rogers; one daughter, Angela Hetherington of Noel, Mo.; five sisters, Carolyn Newton, Nancy Brumbaugh, Betty Miosi, Kathy Keaton, and Joy Stephenson; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were March 16 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Sulphur Springs, with Leonard Lovell officiating. Arrangements were by Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, Mo.
