GRAVETTE - A class at the Gravette United Methodist Church is joining Methodist Churches throughout Arkansas in a project called “Imagine No Malaria.” The goal is to help stamp out malaria, a disease that is still one of the deadliest in the world even in this 21st century. The project focus is on the Sub-Saharan region of Africa.

The 2012 Confirmation class at the church chose this as its project and is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner fund-raiser Saturday, May 4, at the church fellowship hall.

Serving of spaghetti with meat sauce, garden salad, French bread, a brownie delight sundae and beverage will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m., dine in or carry out. Cost is $8 for adults; $6 for children 12and under; and children under age 3 eat free. Advance tickets are available by calling 787-5000, and donations will also be accepted.

The state-wide goal is to raise $1.1 million. The first $333,333 raised will be matched by the United Methodist Fellowship of Arkansas.
