Kean signs letter of intent to play MVC volleyball

GRAVETTE - Taylor Graceson Kean, former Gravette High School player, has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Missouri Valley College beginning in the fall of 2013.

At Gravette High School, Taylor was named to all conference and all-state teams and was a member of the state all-star team, along with being named the team’s most valuable player. Taylor also excelled at track and was was a three-time district champion in the 100-meter hurdles and two-time district champion in the 300-meter hurdles.

At Cowley County Community College, Taylor was a member of a national championship team in 2011, going 38-2, and was an AVCA Team Academic Award winner.

All the coaches are very excited about Taylor and what she has to offer, said Brett Holt, MVC head women’s volleyball coach. “She is a great student and athlete and will be a vital addition to the program.”

The MVC women’s volleyball team had its most successful season in 16 years in 2012, finishing 19-12 in Holt’s first season leading the program.

Taylor plans to major in graphic design and software development. She is the daughter of Toni Kean.
