GRAVETTE - Weather conditions last Saturday, May 4, forced postponement of the Gravette Lions Golf Classic scheduled at Scotsdale Golf Course in Bella Vista.

It has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 1; and anyone who had not registered to participate may still do so.

Sponsors of the classic, which is a major project of the GHS boosters, had been wary of possibly rainy conditions. They were not expecting the several inch snowfall that blanketed Benton County - the first May snowfall in Arkansas according to reports from local observers and state weather reports.

The classic will continue with the same schedule and is expected to raise funds which will be distributed to Gravette High School departments, such as athletics, music, drama and HOSA.

Because of the postponement, applications are still being accepted to participate in this important fund raiser. For information, contact John Edwards, 876-1192, or Jack Skillett, 876-6841.
