Parent night is set for Gravette eight graders

GRAVETTE - Parents of eighth grade students at Gravette Middle School are being encouraged to attend the annual Eighth Grade Parent Night, Thursday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the Gravette High School.

“This is an important meeting for members of the Class of 2017,” said Janna Sharp,GHS library media specialist.

Parents will be given important information concerning their child’s Career Action Plan (CAP), selecting courses for next year, and will tour the high school facilities. They will also receive information about GHS clubs and organizations, receive ACT and college prep information, meet the GHS staff and have the opportunity to ask questions.

A brief welcoming ceremony and introduction of teachers will begin at 6:30 in the Performing Arts Center, and the rest of the evening get acquainted activities will follow.

“We just want parents to bring their eighth grader and come as a family,” Sharp said.
