Chamber is now accepting vendor applications for Freedom Festival

GENTRY - Gentry Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications for vendors at the annual Freedom Festival to be held July 4 at the Gentry City Park.

This year’s celebration will mark the 100th year of July 4th celebrations in the city.

Chase Rice, an up-and-coming country music star from Nashville and also a former runner-up in the Survivor TV series (from 2010), will entertain on the Main Stage at 8:30 p.m. A large free fireworks display will follow.

Opening for Chase Rice will be Kaylin Cripps of Gentry, along with her band which features outstanding musicians from Arkansas and Oklahoma.

There will be games and food in the park all day and many other performing groups.

A car show will again be held. Tammie Runyan is the coordinator for the annual event. For more information, contact her at 238-4979.

Jodye Pool will be the director of the annual July 4th softball tournament. Call Pool at 790-8988. The tournament usually fills up quickly, so don't procrastinate.

Booth space at the event begins at $60 for a 12x12booth. To reserve booth space, please pick up an application form at Gentry City Hall or go to www.gentrychamber.com.
