Gravette buys land near cemetery

GRAVETTE - Purchase of two parcels of property behind Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette was approved by the Gravette City Council at a special meeting last Tuesday night.

One tract of .65 acres contains a 1,056 squarefoot frame dwelling; the other one-acre adjoining tract is mostly wooded. Both are accessed by a road through the north part of the cemetery.

The property was offered to the city by owners Brian and Tammy Vigue for a purchase price of $18,000. The council is financing the purchase through a five-year loan agreement with the Bank of Gravett.
