Fun run set for Gentry's July 4th Fest

GENTRY - A fun run is planned as a part of this year’s Gentry’s July 4th celebration, with one-mile and five-kilometer runs.

The races will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the Gentry City Park (at the old pavilion on the south side), with registration beginning at 7 a.m.

Proceeds will go toward the MERA Wellness Programs)

The one-mile race is free for all ages, with all participants receiving a box of Little Debbie Snack Cakes.

There is a $25 entry fee for the five-kilometer race, with the following age groups competing: Under 14, 14 -17, 18-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55 and above.

Trophies will be awarded to the two top overall male and female runners,. The top two runners in each age category will receive medals. All runners will receive T-shirts and one box of Little Debbie Snack Cakes.
