Lion Pride Night set for this Friday

— Gravette Lion Pride Night, which opens the home basketball season, will be held this Friday, Nov. 22, at the competition gymnasium, according to the Athletic Boosters.

The boosters will begin selling the Lion Pride Night meal at 6 p.m., cheeseburger or a hot dog with chips and water for $5. Introduction of all theteams, members of the band and cheerleaders will be held as follows:

Seventh grade girls, 7 - 7:05; Seventh grade boys, 7:05 - 7:10; Junior high band and cheerleaders, 7:10 - 7:20; Junior high girls’ basketball, 7:20 - 7:35; Junior high boys’ basketball, 7:35 - 7:50; Senior high band and cheerleaders, 7:50 - 8; Senior high girls’ basketball, 8 - 8:10; and Senior high boys’ basketball, 8:10.

“All Lion fans are encouraged to come out, show their Lion pride and give support to these students,” a Booster club spokesperson urged.

Norman Mitchell, athletic director at GHS, said the junior varsity, senior girls’ and senior boys’ basketball games scheduled with Siloam Springs will be held Thursday, Nov. 21, starting at 5 p.m. in the competition gym.
